I loved it. As with all the films in the Saga though, I know there's so much that I missed that I will notice the more I watch it.

I thought the extra scene was done well, but not enough was done with J Jenks or the different Covens, but then I'd happily sit through 5 ten hour films lol

I just REALLY, REALLY hope there will be lots of extras when it's released on blu-ray and even more in the 'special box set that they HAVE to release'.

I'd like to see a bloopers DVD as well.

I'm like you Drea, the more I watch it the more I'll see. It's hard to take it all in the first viewing because I'm busy studying what's been missed out, how it's been amalgamated and 'oh, that was in the trailer'. LOL.

I agree, it would have been nice to have a longer movie expanding on certain scenes. I wonder who actually sets the running time.

I hope they do a similar special set as they've done with Harry Potter, that's awesome. I just want to see everything that was filmed and cut out.

Who could have imagined what the twist would be. When Carlisle's head hit the snow I thought I'd collapse with shock. My jaw just fell open and hit the floor. Poor Dot was mumbling over and over that it couldn't be true and I think I remember mumbling back that it was. Little did I know!! The reaction from the fans was the best ever and then the almost hysterical laughter when we all realised it wasn't true. I'm surprised no-one fainted or ran down and banged on the screen yelling 'no, no, no'.

At the end of the day SM and MR knew how to shock us all and it worked. I say, 'well done' both. Congrats also to BC for the credits. That was so emotional. Heck, the whole thing was emotional.

It was fantastic and we will all be talking about it for a long time yet.

I totalt agree. When that happend I got tears in my eyes, and thought: HOW COULD THEY. I got so pissed of that I even considered to leave in protest. I had all sorts of thoughts in my head, like; they are ruining the whole story,
I m not buying this DVD......... I was so relieved when we saw Alice again, and it hit me: One of you guys suggested that the fight could be one of Alice's visions. Why didn't I remember that?

Well, when I finally got the fight on a distance, and my heartbeat became normal again, I found out that I really like like the film, and I am gong to buy the DVD.

LOL Janice, I was on the verge of walking out as well. I couldn't understand how SM could let them change it so badly!

I really really liked it and I thought the end was absolutely brilliant. I actually figured out what was going on at the end pretty quickly, but it was still shocking! I saw it again on Tuesday with my husband and even though I knew what was coming, I still had to brace myself. It just all seemed so wrong, lol! Our theater was going nuts, every time someone good died there were shrieks of protest, and every time the Volturi died there were loud cheers. It was great. I don't think they could've done a better ending. I'm so glad a did the marathon, too. It was very emotional to see all the films back to back and made the credits at the end of BD2 more meaningful.

YES, Janice that was me - I called that vision as soon as they released some battle footage in the trailer. I KNEW it was a vision because if SM was smart, which she obviously was, there was NO WAY she would have killed ANY Cullens or wolves; she would have had ONE HELL OF A REVOLT against her, with the fans, if she REALLY did that AND I remember reading on her web site that IF THERE ACTUALLY WAS a battle to go down with the Volturi, there would be losses on BOTH sides. I am GLAD that Alice's vision showed not only losses on the Cullen side but ALL the MAJOR players with the Volturi would be dead.

I LOVED seeing and feeling EVERYONE'S reaction and energy when they showed Carlisle's head in Aro's hand. My heart broke for Esme. I had tears streaming down my face; I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. I thought FOR SURE that Stephenie Meyer had COMPLETELY LOST her mind!! I will admit that I was RIPPING PISSED when it happened. I even looked over at my daughter and said "if this is real, then I will NO LONGER buy or read anything this woman writes EVER again". I just couldn't believe it & then the feeling of relief when they panned out to show it was just a vision was SO INTENSE. I don't think I EVER had emotions like this watching a movie before or ever been as invested into a series of movies or books like this before.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the movie! I thought it was the BEST ONE of them ALL. Bill Condon is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS! He ABSOLUTELY gets the story; I think he should have done ALL of the movies.

I LOVED Charlie's interaction with Renesmee & Bella in this movie and I LOOOOOVED what they did with baby Renesmee! I also really liked how Charlie had to feel Bella's shoulders while they hugged, as he noticed her hard, marble exterior. I noticed that Billy Black was not in this movie.

One issue that raised a question mark was at the end, when Alice envisioned a teenage Renesmee & Jacob hugging Bella & Edward on the beach - HOW WAS SHE ABLE TO SEE THAT???? I thought that she couldn't see Jacob & Renesmee???

I also ABSOLUTELY LOVED watching Bella take her new found vampire powers for a test run, through the forest and how she could see everything in nature move and bloom. It was AWESOME!!! I REALLY would like to see this movie in the IMAX theater. I thoroughly ENJOYED the other vampire covens as well, ESPECIALLY Kate & Garrett!! I also really like Rami Malek and I thought he did a WONDERFUL job as Benjamin!!!!

I LOVED the end credits & I DEFINITELY got misty-eyed while that played to Christina Perry's "A Thousand Years"....

I'll have to come back when I can think of some more....

Drea- Every time I see one of the movies I feel so sorry for the people who haven't read the books! They're missing so much! I felt like they glossed over some things.

I REALLY RECOMMEND that anyone who wants to see these movies, read the books FIRST. I AGREE - Sarah, they're missing out on SOOOO MUCH MORE when they don't.

I thought that MAYBE because she was so close to Renesmee that she was able to see past the whole hybrid thing but Jacob OR MAYBE because she WAS half vampire & half human, she was still able to see her??? I thought there was NO WAY that she could see the wolves.

The arm wrestling scene was AWESOME, as was Bella's first hunt. She was PRETTY BAD ASS!!!!!

I need to give the Alice, Jacob, Renesmee thing some thought!

One thing I would like to have seen was Bella leaping off the bed after she woke up. I think they filmed it because there's the shot of her standing next to the bed after she woke up. Also where she rips her dress.

When you see shots of Bella from Twilight and Bella from BD2 you realise just how far she's come. They are worlds apart.

YES, I was HOPING to see her jump of the bed, in fear of where she was, after she woke up. She has come A LONG WAY since Twilight, they ALL have. That's why I LOVE the books SO MUCH MORE - the extreme detail that is in the books just doesn't really exist in the movies.

Yes, I love all the detail in the books. I was just chatting to my SIL, she saw BD on Friday, but she's never read the books so I was filling her in. It's all the little details that make all the difference for me.

It is! There was SO MUCH that was left out &/or changed around that I think was SO pertinent to the story, such as the "blood typing" issue with the first book....I wonder how that would have affected Bella as a vampire....the issue of Bella being COMPLETELY domesticated & cooking for Charlie every night or the depth of her friendship with Alice...

Many of us touched on the "fight scene as an Alice vision", I remember Drea & I discussed it way back when they first mentioned a twist in the ending.

As for the movie, there was a lot I would have liked to have stayed true to the book - the J. Jenks scenes, Carlisle telling someone to go find Alstair so he wasnt hiding under a rock for the next few centuries, more of Renesmee's "communication".... I feel too much was left out and I dont feel the extra covens were necessary.

No, I don't think the extra covens were necessary. What happened to the French Coven that was being introduced into BD2, Henri and Yvette? I didn't even see them? Are they sitting on the cutting room floor somewhere?

I wondered about that too, Sandra. I was VERY disappointed to see that they only did ONE "memory" from Renesmee. I thought FOR SURE that they'd show SOMETHING when she touched Aro's face...

I thought the same at first with Alice's vision of Renesemee and Jacob but I believe it was based on Bella's future which is how Alice was able to see it.

Alice only saw the vision after Bella answered Renesmee's question about their future.

I figured it was because Renesmee is both human and vampire, which Alice could relate to both, since she was once a human and is now a vampire PLUS because she is so close to her.

SO, I LOVED THE MOVIE! Everything!! It's hard to shock me, and i was totally un shock, i might have passed out for alittle, because i missed so much that i noticed when i saw it the next day again!!

i thought of that when i saw BD2 a second time. how did Alice see Reneseme and Jacob's future. She shouldn't have been able to see it, but i didn't care. i loved that they could show it!

Also, i liked that they cut the J. Jenks stuff short, i mean it's nice to have it in the book, but they played it out well in the movie and we got to see more of other things!

I would have liked more of alot of scenes, even the ones they put it were all cut short. The arm wrestling scene was cool, but the way it was cut to Bella alone in the woods sparkling just didnt' seem right.

ALSO....the only thing i caught that i don't think anyone mentioned was that Bella and Edward should have been sparkling in the meadow at the end. I loved that they showed that part though, well done other than the not sparkling!!

....they better have a HUGE box set with all footage missing on it! i want to see it all, so it can live on FOREVER!! I'll pay alot for it, i do the bills, my husband doesn't have to know!

AGREED, Nat! I was expecting to hear Renesmee laughing and see Bella go over to her and pick her up, like they do in the book, right after the arm wrestling scene, and then cue to the sparkling & rainbows, etc...it was cut short EXTREMELY! I was VERY disappointed see that there was NO sparkling in the meadow too!!! You only see her sparkle once and I don't even think we saw Edward sparkle in this movie. Come to think of it, I don't think we've seen any other Cullen sparkle either!

I'm also glad they cut the J. Jenks scenes short BUT I was hoping for more detail in that scene and I was a little disappointed with Bella's wardrobe - in the book, they have her dressing VERY sexy & classy, like a cross between Alice & Rosalie, whereas what we saw was just Bella in tights and boots with a heel on them... I LOVED the first sex scene in the cottage, where it kinda shows their souls coming together. That was BEAUTIFULLY done and I LOVED how the dialog, afterward while they were laying in front of the fire, was straight from the book!

Yes, thinking about it now, they could have shown one or two more.

The more we watch the movie the more we will realise what was left out. At the end of the day I would just have liked to have had the entire book on the screen.

Me too, Sandra. I would have GLADLY sat through a 4 hour BD movie if the ENTIRE BOOK was copied to script. I REALLY wanted to see what Renesmee was showing Aro through her memories....
